Walk the Great Wall for Cure Cancer Australia Foundation

Cure Cancer Australia Foundation and Inspired Adventures invite you to join us for the Walk for a Cure: Great Wall of China Challenge. Here is your chance to take part in a trek along the border of China and Mongolia, and enjoy the majesty of the Great Wall whilst experiencing the charm of China. The trek takes a slow and steady pace to allow you to soak up the spectacular views of valleys, villages, and daily Chinese life. You will have the chance to visit an icon that consistently remains one of the world's greatest wonders while also supporting cancer research.

The money raised from the participants on this adventure will directly fund a cancer researcher for one year. These researchers depend on help from people like you to champion their brilliant and innovative ideas that will one day find a cure.

The funding provided by Cure Cancer Australia to Dr. Vibeke Catts will enable her to test the effectiveness of drugs and novel modes of action in killing cancer cells, and her work may pave the way for new treatments for patients with glioblastoma multiforme who currently have few options. "The thought our work some time in the future may improve the outcome for people suffering brain cancer is extremely exciting," Vibeke says. "It's the ultimate goal of any medical researcher."
